Basketball!

Tonight marked the start of basketball season here in the Wilkerson household. Both boys had played Upward basketball (a Christian league) here in town 2 years ago and decided they wanted to get back into it this year. We lucked out in that both practices are at the same gym back to back so I take Jacob directly from his Tae Kwon Do class over to basketball and Doug brings Caleb for his practice and we both actually get to watch a little of the others' practice. The boys are excited and seem to have nice coaches. Hopefully they will build their skills and have a ton of fun this season. Here are a few pics!

Happy New Year!

New Year's Eve was a beautiful day so we decided to get outside and have fun at one of our local parks. We took Phoebe to the dog park (her first time!), threw the footballs around and played on the playground.

We didn't have any "plans" for New Year's Eve so we decided to make our own fun and have a family game night! Each of us chose a game to play and we played and laughed and had fun!

On our 1st rolls, we each rolled a full house!

We took a snack break...boneless buffalo tenders and fries sustained us until midnight

We planned to set off a Diet Coke/Mentos bomb at midnight so Doug got it all set up

When he went to set it off, I didn't have my camera on the right setting so I didn't capture a picture :(
But I did get a video of a 2nd one we set off (see below)

The boys had cap guns to make some noise at midnight

New Year's Resolution

Today is the last day of 2011! This year went by so fast! I have decided that my New Year's resolution will be to start blogging again. So I will see you next year! (har dee har har)
