Fun at Six Flags

We had purchased season passes to Six Flags Fiesta Texas back in December and so we thought we had better start putting them to use now that the park is open for business.

One of the boys favorite activities at any theme park is studying the map to figure out what there is and where it is and where we're going first (and then an argument usually ensues about who gets to pick the first ride and so on...) It was decided that we wanted to head toward the Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion ride but as we went along other rides looked appealing.....

The spinning teacups...

the motor speedway....

(Jacob and Caleb were really good drivers)

After a few other rides we finally made it to Scooby's place. I had to take this picture for my sweet niece Mina - Velma is her favorite! The Scooby Doo ride is a fun interactive ride where you can shoot the ghosts and goblin with a lazer tag style gun and rack up points! We all scored in the "Like, WOW!" point range. (My favorite was the 0 to 200 pt. range=Ruh-Roh! Hee Hee!)

There were swing rides...

And a mini roller coaster in The Wiggles World

This (unfortunately) was the only coaster we experienced today! My boys are not too keen on riding the big coasters yet. I'm sure I'll force them on by the end of the summer!! :)

The boys even used some of their hard-earned allowance money to play some arcade games and boardwalk games and won themselves prizes!

Our original plan was to ride rides for a while, eat lunch, walk around a little and then hit the water park portion of Six Flags (White Water Bay) for a little swim around the lazy river. When we got there we found out that everyone else had this same idea! We opted to leave and go home and take a dip in our neighborhood pool instead! Ahhhh the joys of having a season pass!
