Saturday I got the opportunity to sing in the chorus of Star Wars in Concert. It is a traveling show with a live orchestra and a huge LCD screen. They show clips from the movie while the orchestra plays the brilliant music from the movie. There are lasers and other special effects too. Needless to say, I was SOOOOOOOO excited, being the Star Wars fan that I am!
We got there early and had a quick rehearsal with the orchestra.
Then we got dressed and got our "credentials" so we could be backstage without an escort.
Then we had a little time to snap a few photos. This is Carole. She and I stood next to each other all year in Mastersingers.

Just before we went out to sing our first concert we had a surprise visitor.....
...C-3PO himself! Anthony Daniels, came down to chat with us. He was the narrator of the show.
It's kinda funny. He actually moves and talks quite a lot like C-3PO in his regular conversation!
He was really nice and funny and quite accommodating!He posed for pictures with us and had his assistant take pictures with everyone's cameras!

Our songs were in the first half of the show so they gave us tickets to go sit in the audience for the second half. I was so excited to get to see the show! It was torture to stand on the stage with that huge screen of excitement behind you and not get to watch it!
After the 1st show we had a few hours to kill before the 2nd show. The show provided us some pizza and drinks so we wouldn't die of hunger before we went on again.
Then some of the guys got a card game going.
Others of us went up to the lobby to see all the exhibits that tour with the show!

This was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I was so happy to get to be a part of it!
So cool Val! I wish I could have come see it, it looks awesome! I though it was funny when you said that you had to sing and couldn't see the screen of awesomeness, I pictured you standing up there turned around watching it;) Glad you had fun, great pics!
