Who Said There's No Such Thing As A Free Meal?

Back in the fall I heard about a promotion that Chick-fil-A was doing. If you wore a shirt or jersey displaying the logo of your favorite team you would receive a free chicken sandwich! So we all threw on our Alabama shirts and went to eat amongst the UT Longhorns fans. (We actually met another really nice couple who were also brave enough to sport their Alabama gear!) Here are a few pictures. I don't know why I didn't have one of Caleb?!?

Doug enjoyed his free sandwich

Valerie's free sandwich tasted yummy!

Jacob's free sandwich was almost too big for his mouth!

As part of the football promotion, I signed up to receive future promotion information. A couple of weeks ago I got an invitation to be one of the 1st to try the new spicy chicken sandwich. We had to make a reservation to go in to the store to get our free sandwich and so today was the day! When we got there we were greeted by the store manager and ushered to our special VIP table they had reserved for us!

They had a whole little section roped off and all the tables were decorated. Notice the little cow stuffed animal on the table....each of our boys have one of those and LOVE them. They got them in Florida. Chick-fil-A was one of our clients at the bank where I worked and the sweet owner, Matt, was always bringing goodies for the kids. My boys cows play Bakugan with them and sleep with them. They don't have names. They are simply called "eat more chicken" as in: "Mom! Have you seen my eat more chicken?" These little cows were a special gift today. They had a little coupon around their necks for ANOTHER free sandwich! The boys were excited to have more little cows to join in on their fun!

We were surprised to find out that the reservation was not just for a free sandwich but also fries and a drink. Doug got a coke and I got yummy sweet tea. Chick-fil-A sweet tea is the best around!

The sandwich was pretty tasty. I think that some would find it a little too spicy but I love spicy so it was great for me! The sandwich bag says "May start mouth fires".

Not too many restaurants go out of their way to treat their customers a little special. Thanks Chick-fil-A (Blanco Road - Greg Cruz Owner/Operator) for a great FREE lunch date for me and my hubby!
